The Jeanne Clery Act: Students should remember that administrators at ECC are required by law, under the Jeanne Clery Act, to report to the proper authorities pertinent information related to a crime, if they believe one has been committed. ECC administrators are required to forward such information to the Dean of Faculty, to the Dean of Students, to Human Resources, and/or to College Police. However, it is ultimately the student’s decision whether or not to avail himself or herself of the campus judicial process or press charges with the appropriate law enforcement agency.
Meeting with the Division Chair: After sending your Concern Report, you will need to meet in person with Dr. Joao Sedycias, Chair of the Humanities Division, in order to discuss further your problem/concern.
