Obervação preliminar: Os autores, trabalhos ou conceitos sublinhados na lista fornecida abaixo indicam que estes são de interesse especial para o Prof. Sedycias e que os mesmos norteiam de forma significativa o seu trabalho atual no campo do ensino-aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras. Daqueles orientandos que pretendam usar esse arcabouço teórico na sua dissertação de mestrado ou tese de doutorado se espera que os mesmos tenham lido e estejam bem familiarizados com o trabalho de lingüistas tais como Robert Lado, Uriel Weinreich, William Nemser, Larry Selinker, Stephen Krashen, entre outros, para quem os conceitos de análise contrastiva, inteferência/transferência, interlíngua, e aquisição/aprendizagem são de vital importância.
